The in-store event showcased the innovative multilingual healthcare services Rexall offers to newcomers and was attended by Government of Alberta representatives including Parliamentary Secretary Jackie Armstrong-Homeniuk and MLA Parliamentary Secretary Andrew Boitchenko.

During the visit, representatives from the Government of Alberta observed a live demonstration of the multilingual healthcare services. This interactive session showcased how real-time translation services enhance the healthcare experience for newcomers, and underscored the importance of collaboration between public and private sectors in addressing healthcare access challenges. Through its partnership with Voyce, customers visiting a Rexall store have access to pharmacists who can assess common illnesses and prescribe medications to treat acute or chronic conditions in over 240 languages. This demonstration underscored Rexall’s commitment to reducing barriers for newcomers accessing healthcare services, especially amidst the influx of newcomers from Ukraine who are settling in Alberta.
