Today, Paul Chidley, Divisional Vice-President of Rexall, was joined by Tony Caterina, Councillor for the City of Edmonton, and Janice Sarich, MLA for Edmonton-Decore, as well as employees and members of the community, to celebrate the grand opening of Rexall’s newest drugstore at Northgate Centre.

Customers and patients can look forward to a range of services, including a full service pharmacy, nutrition consultation, vitamin therapy, free prescription delivery, a refrigerated grocery section, as well as a cosmetic department; making it a complete healthy daily living destination.

Our new store at Northgate, and all of our stores, will deliver exactly that.”

At 11,200 square feet the store offers a range of healthy products including naturopathic and homeopathic selections, as well as Rexall’s private brand Be.better. Be.better.; has 170 items that were carefully selected and designed to help Canadians live, feel and be better. The extensive line includes healthier snack options, environmentally-friendly cleaning products, gluten-free vitamins, vegetarian probiotics and even salon-quality hair and skin care products with natural oils such as Oblipicha, Argan Oil or Macadamia Nut.

Also in attendance were organizers from Kids Kottage, a crisis nursery centre that provides a safe, nurturing home away from home for infants and children up to eleven years of age, free of charge, during a time of family crisis. Kids Kottage received a $10,000 donation from the Rexall Foundation which will be used to fund much needed equipment and programming. Since 2003, the Rexall Foundation has been helping build strong and vibrant communities by giving back to the communities where employees work and live. The Foundation has made donations to numerous charities and programs in Canada, and is especially proud of the contributions that have been made to help some of Canada’s most courageous children.
