  • The FreeStyle Libre 2 system is indicated for people aged 4 and older living with diabetes. It includes real-time, optional glucose alarms for those who want or need them.

  • FreeStyle Libre 2 is covered by most private insurers* and some provincial drug plans. Contact your Rexall pharmacist or your insurance provider/plan administrator to learn about your coverage options today.

    *Individual drug plans can vary. Check with your plan administrator or insurance company.

  • When using the FreeStyle Libre 2 app* your sensor automatically communicates with your smartphone to give you Low and High Glucose Alarms (if they are turned on). The Low and High Glucose Alarms notify you when your glucose levels fall below or rise above your set thresholds in the app*. Consult with your healthcare provider to determine your optimal low and high glucose thresholds for alarms.

  • To start a FreeStyle Libre 2 sensor with the FreeStyle Libre 2 app*, Bluetooth should be turned on. To receive alarms on your phone, your FreeStyle Libre 2 app* must be open or running in the background, your phone and sensor must be connected by Bluetooth, and phone notifications must be enabled.

  • Yes.
